What are aerial work platforms?
Aerial work platforms are always used when work needs to be done at a height. The generic term 'aerial work platform' includes several different designs: from the single scissor lift table to a telescopic lift platform with several individually controllable arms, from the electro-hydraulically powered aerial work platform to a lift platform with a diesel motor. Within the various types, the question also arises as to whether a stationary, firmly anchored solution, a movable or self-propelled variant is the right one for your application.
However, all versions have one thing in common. They provide people with safe access to the necessary work height. As a manufacturer, we incorporate both the usual safety features, such as a non-slip platform surface, and other safety measures, such as a UPS for emergency lowering in the event of a power failure.

What are work platforms used for?
Especially when heavy components need to be assembled or disassembled or when work takes longer and the use of ladders is unreasonable or even not permissible at all. If flexible solutions are also required, the aerial work platform is a safer and more convenient alternative.
While single work platforms are often sufficient for low heights, an aerial work platform is useful to regularly transport loads to greater work heights. The operator can conveniently load the loads in the lower position and transport them directly to the operating site. This turns the work platform into a practical solution, especially on construction sites, in the production of other machines in the production line or simply as an ergonomic workstation for tiring activities.

Which aerial platform is the right one?
We would be happy to assist you in choosing the right aerial work platform. However, there is one limitation. We are lift table manufacturers and have fully specialised in their manufacture. If you have any questions about telescopic work platforms, we cannot answer them in detail.
Our strength lies in the manufacture of aerial work platforms, which are individually tailored to your needs . Your requirements for an aerial work platform can be very different from those of other companies. For example, we can equip the workman basket with individual storage surfaces, insertable railings or even with a side extension platform to increase the reach to meet your needs. Just tell us what you are using the aerial work platform for and under what conditions and we will select the appropriate technical equipment.

Who are allowed to operate work platforms?
Many companies nowadays earn their money by issuing so-called lift platform driver's licenses. First the good news. You do not necessarily need such an operator’s licence when working with work platforms . It much rather protects your interests, as you will receive confirmation from an external body that your employee is qualified to operate work platforms.
However, what the umbrella organisation of the German statutory accident insurance (DGUV) does stipulate is that only trained and suitable persons may operate a work platform. This training can also be carried out in-house by your own qualified personnel and does not have to be done by an external testing institute. However, in order to avoid any liability claims, we recommend training by the IHK or any other testing institute. These so-called driver’s licences acquired here are valid indefinitely and do not require regular refresher training.
However, this does not negate your obligation to provide annual safety training, which must of course also include instructions on the correct handling and use of aerial work platforms.

Frequently asked questions & our answers ...
Where is the headquarters of Janzen Lifttechnik GmbH?
We are at home in the rural Emsland, more precisely in Niederlangen a part of the Lathen municipality directly on the A31 motorway. This means that we are roughly halfway between North Rhine-Westphalia and the North Sea, right on the Dutch border.
Our region is known, among other things, for the various nature reserves, the well-developed cycle paths, the manufacture of cruise ships, as well as the headquarters of various distilleries.
Should you ever come to our region, we look forward to a visit in our Plant.
Where are the lifting tables and elevators produced?
With us, not only does the final assembly take place in Germany, but we also cover the entire production chain from construction through steel construction to final assembly in our plant in Niederlangen. With us you get a real 'Made in Germany'.
Is the offer aimed only at traders or also at private individuals?
Even if our products are mainly used in an industrial environment, we naturally also offer them to private individuals.
Just give us a call or send us an inquiry and we will be happy to contact you.
Will I receive a drawing before production starts?
In any case. To ensure that you get the product that you really want, we provide you with an approval drawing before production begins. In addition to the actual product, this also includes the installation situation. As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words.
Can I get a CAD model?
You can receive a (greatly) simplified CAD model of our standard products before ordering. After the order and the construction phase, we can also provide you with CAD models of the individual special lifting tables. A data exchange is possible in all common formats (.stp, .dxf, .dwg etc.).
Where can you deliver to?
We produce our lifting tables and column jacks in accordance with European standards and guidelines. Accordingly, our sales area is limited to all countries that recognize these standards and guidelines (e.g. the members of the European Union, Switzerland and Australia).
Is it possible to assemble in the same area?
On request, we assemble our systems throughout Germany, as well as in the neighboring countries of Germany.
