A “load camel” as a clever stacking aid

Why does our scissor lift table resemble a camel? A quick glance at the platform reveals the answer: Its unique geometry, with multiple recesses and elevations, is vaguely reminiscent of the humps of the well-known desert animal. However, instead of carrying sand, our “cargo camel” moves stacks of industrial screens – and does so systematically.

The special scissor lift table is used in a weaving mill for industrial screens. Here, it serves as a height-adjustable stacking aid. Employees place the finished screens at a comfortable, ergonomic working height – back-friendly and efficient. As soon as a stack is complete, it is picked up by a forklift truck and the cycle begins again.

The answer is simple: The industrial screens have special dimensions and do not fit on standard Euro pallets. Custom pallets would have to be manufactured specifically for this purpose – a costly and time-consuming endeavor. The customer therefore opted for a more practical solution.

Our scissor lift table plays a central role in the storage process: As an ergonomic stacking aid, it allows industrial screens to be placed at individually adjustable working heights. This eliminates the need for physically demanding bending, allowing employees to work much more efficiently and in a back-friendly manner. This not only improves ergonomics, but also speeds up the entire material handling process.

Another advantage is that the specially shaped platform geometry of the lift table allows fork lift trucks to easily drive underneath. The entire stack of sieves can thus be picked up safely and transported away directly without manual readjustment – quickly and precisely.

Our “cargo camel” impresses not only with its robust construction, but also with its well thought-out functionality. It is a prime example of how tailor-made solutions with simple technology can optimize work processes, reduce costs, and improve ergonomics in the workplace in the long term.
