Many things in life have both advantages and disadvantages. This also applies to enclosed railings on platforms. The obvious advantage is that loads are better protected from falling. However, one disadvantage is that a high fence restricts the view of the platform.
Clear view despite enclosed railings
To ensure visibility of the platform on a goods lift despite enclosed railings, we often use perforated sheets with a grid size of 10 x 10 mm. These not only provide reliable protection against mechanical forces but also allow sufficient visibility of the moving platform.
But what if clear visibility is required, such as with our customer from the automotive industry? The solution: Special acrylic glass with high toughness and break resistance. This acrylic glass allows for almost unobstructed views while also providing the necessary protection with high fencing.
Column lift as a base
The base for the goods lift is, as often, the column lift. Compared to a traditional scissor lift table, this design has a major advantage: it requires only a very shallow pit. For this good lift, only a recess of 120 mm was needed, which made extensive earthworks unnecessary.
Comfort also with hydraulic lifts
Although we exclusively manufacture hydraulic lifts for cargo transportation, we place great emphasis on ensuring that the cargo is moved gently and safely. Therefore, the simplified goods lift is equipped with a soft start and a soft stop: The platform initially starts at a reduced speed, then accelerates to the normal travel speed, and slows down again about ten centimeters before reaching the desired stop, to gently enter the respective station.
To further simplify the operation of our goods lift, we have implemented an automatic control system. After loading and locking the platform or access door, a simple press of a button enables automatic travel to the desired stop. Unlike systems with dead man's control, there is no need to continuously press the arrow or floor buttons - a significant increase in comfort.
Highest priority: safety
Safety is an area where no compromises can be made. In addition to a robust design of the mechanics, access and platform doors with electromechanical safety interlocks are also standard for us, as are pressure monitoring in the upper position and electric check valves for a potential hose burst.
Speaking of hose bursts: A bypass is integrated directly at the hydraulic unit, which allows the simulation of a hose burst. This greatly facilitates external experts in testing the safety features and ensures that all necessary tests can be conducted without much effort.
