Improving ergonomics in the workplace: An important issue for us. Lift tables play a crucial role in this. These practical tools can raise industrial or Euro pallets to an ergonomic height, which represents the classic application area of our work lift tables. Occasionally, however, the tables also need to handle larger components, as in this project.
What loads are being lifted?
Among our customer's products are robust garbage and waste compactors that weigh up to 4,000 kg. Despite the not excessively high weight, we have opted to use two scissor lift tables instead of one. We will explain the precise reasons for this decision in the following.
What advantage would a single lift table offer?
Why have we still used two lift tables?
The specific requirements of our customer necessitate the use of two scissor lift tables: Containers are moved between various workstations by an automated guided vehicle system (AGV), which requires a clear path. A single lift table would not provide enough space for the travel path due to its dimensions. Using two lift tables allows us to meet the space requirements while also ensuring efficient handling of long components.
Moreover, we have a decisive advantage: We can use a static flow divider. This divider ensures that both lift tables operate in absolute synchronization, even with uneven load distribution, without the need for more complex control technology.
