Reference 029 – Loading lift table in the delivery area

For supermarket customers, product availability is of paramount importance. It is one of the biggest challenges in retail and requires efficient logistics. Our loading lift table can help you ensure smooth goods handling.

The loading lift table is used in a large grocery store during goods delivery. To quickly unload incoming trucks, the scissor lift table is equipped with a large platform, allowing multiple roll containers to be transported to the warehouse simultaneously.

Additionally, the permissible passenger transport on the loading lift saves time. Employees can push the goods directly from the platform to the storage area.

The loading flaps on the long sides ensure a gap-free transition between the truck loading area and the lift table platform, allowing roll containers to be effortlessly transported from the truck without additional effort.

Since the lift table is located outdoors, both the platform and the subframe are hot-dip galvanised. This hot-dip galvanised surface treatment not only protects against weather influences and guarantees high durability but is also more resistant to mechanical abrasion. A painted surface would show signs of wear much more quickly.

As you may have noticed, the above CAD image shows a portal on the long side of the platform. However, the four lower photos do not show this portal. The reason for this is that the customer subsequently installed a rolling shutter gate that was integrated into the lift table's control system. As a result, there is no longer a fall hazard on this side, and the portal could be omitted.

However, there is still a fall hazard for people on the two short sides, so the platform railings must remain. You may be wondering if the side with the loading flaps also needs a railing. The answer is: Yes, it would need a railing if the fall height were greater than 1.60 meters. However, since the height is only 1.20 meters and loading flaps are present, a railing on this side can be omitted.
