Tandem lift table for maintenance work

Tandem lift tables are used where heavy, long goods have to be lifted with a relatively small effective stroke. They have two scissors arranged one behind the other, which are mechanically connected to each other via the platform. A static flow divider ensures that the scissors operate synchronously. The flow divider guarantees that the hydraulic cylinders move in and out synchronously despite different loads on the scissors. This makes the tandem lift table the right choice for working with long, bulky and heavy loads.

Example of use

This lift table is used to carry out maintenance work on stoplogs. Stoplogs are used as protection against flooding, among other things. The stoplogs must be checked regularly and repaired if necessary to guarantee their reliability when they are needed. The customer has chosen our scissor lift table to make the work easier and effortlessly lift the stoplogs.

What special features had to be taken into account?

The base frame was specially designed to be welded into an existing mobile frame, so that the lift table can be easily moved to the place of use. As maintenance work is only carried out once a year, the height of the tandem scissor lift adjusted using a hand pump. The advantage of the hand pump is that with this low application cycle possible susceptibility to faults due to defects in electrical components is reduced to a minimum. In addition, the hand pump can be removed, so that the hydraulic drive unit can be stored in a place protected against the weather.
To protect the lift table outdoors against corrosion, it is hot-dip galvanised. This ensures that the scissor lift table can withstand the adverse conditions of outdoor use and that operating temperatures down to -25 °C are no problem.
