This industrial work platform is specifically designed for safely and efficiently performing work at heights of up to 3.20 meters. It is used for the maintenance and repair of crane systems. Thanks to a load capacity of 200 kg, not only the worker but also the required tools can be easily lifted.
Cost efficiency through manual operation
The industrial work platform is deliberately designed without electric drives for the chassis and extension. The reason for this lies in its specific area of use: It is exclusively used for occasional maintenance and repair work on crane systems. For this usage cycle, electric drives would be too costly. Therefore, the platform is equipped with manually operated mechanisms for the chassis and extension, allowing for cost-effective handling.
Flexible applications of the industrial work platform
Thanks to its mobile chassis, the industrial work platfrom is versatile in its use. Parking brakes on the rear wheels and retractable spindle supports on the front rollers ensure stable positioning during operation.
With a construction height of over one meter, the subframe features an integrated ladder for easy access. The self-closing safety gate is electrically monitored to ensure it is fully closed before the lifting process begins. The platform is controlled via an electrical control panel.
The manually extendable extension platform can be locked in any position, allowing the worker to safely work on hard-to-reach components.
Safety mechanisms for load monitoring and tilt moment control
Correctly assessing the load on an industrial work platform can be challenging, especially when additional tools and materials are being transported. To protect the work platform from overloading, an overload measurement takes place: As soon as the weight on the platform exceeds the permissible maximum, a horn and a flashing warning light alert the operator, and the lifting process is blocked.
It is particularly important to monitor when the extension platform is loaded and extended. Excessive weight can shift the center of gravity and increase the risk of tipping. For this reason, a special system monitors the tipping moment. If the safe load moment is exceeded, an audible warning signal is triggered and only lowering of the industrial work platform is possible.
