Use of the dock lift table in a furniture company
The dock lift table is located in the warehouse of a furniture company. From here, furniture is loaded onto trucks and then shipped to the end customer. Since some of the furniture is quite bulky, the lift table features a wide platform. This allows even large pieces of furniture to be loaded onto the truck without any problems.
To ensure there is no gap between the lift table platform and the truck, the platform's long side is equipped with segmented loading flaps. These flaps are laid onto the truck's loading dock, allowing the furniture to be easily pushed into the cargo area.
Safety features of the dock lift table
Since an employee is present on the platform during the lifting and lowering process, several safety aspects need to be considered.
A crucial point is the operation. The control panel is located on the platform and must be positioned so that the operator can adequately monitor the danger area, ensuring that no one can enter the area beneath the platform unnoticed.
The guardrails, including the guardrail door, prevent falls from the platform. The guardrail panels are clad with sheet metal to ensure that no furniture parts slip through the railings and get damaged.
