Industrial work platforms are scissor lift tables that allow people to work at heights. The advantage over conventional scaffolding lies in the elimination of setup time and increased productivity. Climbing ladders is no longer necessary and tools can be easily kept within reach directly at the workplace.
With our industrial work platform, you are on the safe side
Especially when people are riding on the platform, specific safety requirements must be met. We have listed the most important safety features below:
Surrounding railing
To prevent people from falling off the work platform during lifting or lowering operations, both the removable railings on the long sides of the platform and the railing door are electrically monitored. This ensures that the lifting device can only move when the railings are inserted into the designated sleeves and the door is closed. Additionally, the control system is equipped with a key switch to protect the platform from unauthorized access.

Electrical check valves and a UPS
If only goods are being transported and the lifting height is not too high, we typically use burst pipe protections. These respond to pressure differences and seal the cylinder's outlet opening in the event of a hose breakage, preventing the lift table platform from falling. However, burst pipe protections have the disadvantage that they do not respond to small leaks, which could cause the platform to unintentionally lower slowly.
Therefore, for lift tables that transport people, we use electrically unlockable valves. These are directly attached to the cylinder and must be actively unlocked. Without this active control, the hydraulic valves close the line to the cylinder, thus preventing a lowering movement even in the case of small leaks.
The disadvantage of electric check valves, however, is that they require an electric voltage for unlocking. Therefore, we equip industrial work platforms with a lifting height of 1.6 meters or more with an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). The UPS supplies the electric check valves with power even in the event of a power failure, ensuring that employees can safely lower the work platform to the lowest position.

Load monitoring
To protect against excessive mechanical stress, our lift tables are equipped with a pressure switch. This switch is activated as soon as the load capacity of 300 kg is exceeded. A signal light on the platform provides an immediate visual alert to the operator, allowing for prompt detection of a possible overload.
