Reference 081 – Scissor lift table with platform door

Upon request, we equip each of our lift tables with additional extras. For example, the reference photo shows a project where two doors were included in the delivery package.

How a new building can lead to new challenges

Our customer faced a common issue: the floor level of the new extension did not match that of the existing office section — the new building is nearly half a meter higher.

The most straightforward solution would have been to install a short staircase. However, this approach falls short when trolleys full of files and office supplies need to be transported between the buildings.

Our lift table - the alternative to a ramp

Due to limited space, the idea of a long ramp was quickly dismissed. Additionally, our customer was looking for a more comfortable solution and asked us to deliver and install a compact hydraulic lift table, including two electromechanically locked doors.

Why two electromechanically locked doors?

One of the two doors is located on the platform of the scissor lift table to ensure that the trolleys do not fall off the platform. The second door is installed directly at the upper stop to prevent an existing fall hazard.

Both doors are linked to the lift table's limit switches. They can only be opened when the lift table platform is in the highest or lowest position. An exception is the emergency release with a special key, which allows the doors to be opened at any intermediate position.
