To efficiently carry out assembly work on and under large, heavy frames, our customer opted for the lift table combination shown with a flow divider. Learn about the advantages this specific combination offers in the following article.
Reasons for choosing the lift table combination
The lift table combination, consisting of two scissor lift tables, offers a total carrying capacity of 8 tons. This capacity enables the convenient lifting of heavy frames to the desired working height, facilitating their processing. The following features are key for simplified handling:
- A distance of 3,500 mm between the lift tables allows work on the underside of the frames—a possibility that would not be available with a tandem lift table.
- Narrow platforms improve access to the frame.
- Elevated subframes increase the foot clearance for workers.
The interplay of spatial separation, narrow platform design, and open subframes promotes an efficient and ergonomic work environment.
Safety in using the lift table combination
Since the frame is lifted by two separate scissor lift platforms, the lift tables must operate in absolute synchrony to prevent the frame from slipping off. Synchronization is achieved through a static flow divider, even with uneven load distribution.
For additional safety, electrically unlockable check valves on the cylinders are used. They protect against uncontrolled lowering of the lifting device, even in the event of a leak.
