To ensure safety during operation, securing the trolleys on the platform of the lift table is essential. This fixation prevents the trolleys from unintentionally slipping or falling off the platform.
Depressions in the lift table platform: An alternative to automatic roll-off protection?
To enhance safety during the transportation of trolleys on lift tables, we have incorporated depressions into the platforms of the lift tables in a previous project. These depressions allow trolleys to be securely parked, effectively preventing unintentional rolling.
However, this solution is not suitable for every operational process. The following aspects should be considered:
- Limitation on trolley size: The depressions are custom-made, so only trolleys of a certain size can be transported.
- Precise positioning required: The trolley must be maneuvered exactly into the depressions, which can be challenging under hectic working conditions.
Advantages of the automatic roll-off protection
Automatic roll-off protection is the ideal solution when flexibility in handling various trolley sizes is required. This allows trolleys of various sizes to be easily and safely pushed onto the table surface.
Before the lift table platform rises, an edge automatically extends around the platform. This prevents the trolleys from accidentally rolling off the scissor lift platform.
Purely mechanical solution
Although it may sound surprising at first, the automatically rising edge does not require any additional hydraulics or electricity. This solution is based entirely on pure mechanics, allowing for a long-lasting, low-maintenance operation of the roll-off protection.

The hydraulic lift table is robustly designed. It is specially equipped for demanding three-shift operations in a logistics center. To guarantee a long lifespan, the scissor lift platform features greaseable bearing points to ensure reliable function even after years of intensive use.
