Reference 061 – Tandem lift table for maintenance work

When heavy, long goods need to be lifted with a relatively small lifting height, tandem lift tables are used. These lift tables have two scissors arranged one behind the other, mechanically connected via the platform. A static flow divider ensures the synchronization of the scissor mechanisms and guarantees that the hydraulic cylinders extend and retract synchronously despite different loads. This makes the tandem lift table the ideal choice for working with long, bulky and heavy loads.

Use of the tandem lift table: Maintenance work on dam beams

The scissor lift table shown is used to carry out maintenance work on dam beams. Dam beams serve, among other things, as protection against floods. To prevent any unpleasant surprises in the event of an emergency, the dam beams must be regularly inspected and, if necessary, repaired. To facilitate these tasks and effortlessly lift the dam beams, the customer has chosen our lift table.

Special features in design and use

The subframe was specially designed for welding into an existing running frame, allowing the lift table to be easily moved to the place of use. Since the maintenance work is only performed once a year, the height adjustment of the scissor lift platform is done via a hand pump. The advantage of the hand pump is that, given the low usage frequency, potential malfunctions due to defects in electrical components are minimized. Additionally, the hand pump is removable, allowing the hydraulic drive unit to be stored in a weather-protected location.

To protect from corrosion when used the lift table outdoors, a galvanised version was chosen. Galvanised scissor lift tables withstand the harsh conditions of outdoor use. Operating temperatures down to -25°C are not a problem for the lift table shown.
