Reference 024 – Prism construction - a well-rounded solution

Working daily with cylindrical components, such as rod materials, presents a special challenge in terms of safety. A central concern is preventing these components from rolling away uncontrollably - this was also a key issue for this project.

Optimization of coil handling

Our client faced the challenge of making coil handling in their production facility both efficient and safe. We developed a simple yet highly effective solution: By embedding a specially adapted prism into the platform, tailored exactly to the coils, we ensure a secure and precise positioning of the material. The coils are simply placed into the preformed recess, and gravity does the rest. This greatly enhances process safety, as the coil can always be precisely accommodated.

Foot protection in a different way

Our scissor lift tables are usually equipped with conspicuous safety features such as bright red maintenance supports and a foot protection safety strip. However, in this tandem lift table, you won't find the foot protection safety strip.
This is made possible by the very limited stroke. During production, the lift table needs to be able to raise a maximum of 300 mm, while the construction height is already 350 mm. Therefore, it made sense to simply extend the side sheet metal skirts and thus eliminate the strip with the corresponding sensors.

The overlifting for maintenance purposes

Maintenance of our stationary lift table is easily achievable despite the fixed sheet metal skirt that blocks direct access to the pit during normal operation. We have introduced a special function for this: the overlifting. In standard operation, the lift table raises the material by 300 mm. However, for maintenance purposes, a maintenance key switch can activate the overlifting, allowing an increase of up to 800 mm. This ensures easy access to the pit, facilitating smooth execution of regular maintenance tasks.
