V-block
The V-block structure refers toa special platform geometry. The platform plate forms a trough in the shape of a negative triangle. This platform geometry is generally used when handling coils to prevent the load from rolling off.
Viscosity
Viscosity describes the flowability of a liquid. The higher the specified value, the more viscous the liquid.
In lifting technology, this characteristic value is of interest in connection with hydraulic oil. At very low temperatures, there is a risk that the hydraulic oil becomes too viscous and that proper functioning can no longer be guaranteed. To counteract this danger, hydraulic oils with a higher flowability at lower temperatures are used. Oil heaters can also be used as an alternative method.
Volume flow
The volume flow rate indicates which volume moves through a cross-section within a certain time.
The volume flow rate significantly influences the lifting and lowering speed of a scissor lift table. For example, a hydraulic pump with a volume flow rate of 12 l/min lifts a scissor lift approximately twice as fast as a hydraulic pump with a volume flow rate of 6 l/min, if otherwise the same hydraulic components were installed.
The specified pressure on a hydraulic pump only indicates whether the drive unit is capable of withstanding the pressures that occur and has no influence on the speed of the lifting platform. A pressure relief valve protects the hydraulic pump against impermissibly high pressures.
