Mobile lift table: Manoeuvring and working with heavy loads
Mobile lift tables make the daily work with bulky goods or merchandise easier. They carry out two functions at once: lifting and transporting large loads.
Although they can be used for general purposes, our lift table trolleys are often used as mobile lifting work tables. They are used either as a transport aids for tools and spare parts or as an assembly or welding table to bring machine components to a comfortable work height.
The structure of the lifting mechanism of a mobile lift table is somewhat reminiscent of a scissor lift pallet truck. However, higher working load limits (WLL) can often be achieved by using solid shears and a fixed undercarriage. Our mobile lift tables provide the ideal solution for the flexible handling of larger loads.
We adapt the undercarriage to meet your needs. From a lift table on wheels to a powered rail undercarriage with stainless steel rollers, we can supply you with all possible variants. The most frequently requested version is the manually movable lift table trolley on wheels. Two fixed and two swivelling castors with parking brake are usually used for this purpose. A version with four swivelling castors can also be supplied. Whether the castors are made of plastic or solid rubber depends on the nature of the floor and the working load limit (WLL) of the scissor lift table. With the right equipment, loads of up to 2 tons can be moved by hand, and with a non-driven rail undercarriage even up to 4 tons. A push handle is recommended to make it more comfortable to push. The handle can be fixed or foldable.
Given the wide range of options available, we will be happy to provide you with personal advice. We will assist you in deciding which undercarriage is the right one for your purpose. You can also find initial information in our article: "Lift tables with undercarriage“ or "How easy is it to push a mobile lift table?".
The lifting motion
We can equip our lift table trolleys either with a hand pump or with an electric controller. The selected drive type depends on the price, the required working load limit (WLL), lifting height and the desired lifting time. An electric drive will probably be useful if a relatively large height needs to be negotiated with the aid of a double-scissor lift table, for example. With rather low payloads and a low lifting height, the pump hydraulics can be suitable. We will be happy to assist you in deciding which drive type best suits your requirements.
More flexibility through additional extras
Of course, we also supply other accessories for the mobile lift tables. The range of functions can easily be extended with the help of standardised modules. Regardless of whether you want to turn or tilt loads or whether the lift table needs to be supplemented with additional conveyor technology, there is a matching module for all applications. Have a look at the brief overview on the lift table accessories page.
